Yue Jiang is a Visiting Graduate Student at the Engineering Design Centre (EDC). He is a member of the Health Systems Design Group and is supervised by Prof P John Clarkson. His PhD research focuses on Collective Intelligence in Medical Co-Design.
With a mixed educational background of BEng and MFA, he is now pursuing a PhD in Design Engineering at Tongji D&I, the top-ranked design college in Asia, supervised by Prof Long Liu. Before starting his PhD, his research focused on the communication barrier between different stakeholders when conducting medical co-design. He is a member of the Design Ergonomics Branch of the Chinese Ergonomics Society. He has won several awards including: International Top 10 Design Stars in Experience Design (2023), Shanghai City Outstanding Graduate (2021), China’s National Scholarship (2020, 2017).
Besides his research activities, he has been continuously involved in innovation and entrepreneurship, and currently leads multiple technology companies, social groups, and non-profit organizations. For example, he is currently the co-founder of Shanghai TINGJ Technology Company, AI consultant of CSR Cloud (Beijing) Holding Group Company, and Chairman of the Student Science and Technology Association of Tongji University (SSTAT).
