Biography

Professor Vanja Garaj is a Visiting Academic Fellow at the Engineering Design Centre and Professor of Design at Brunel Design School, Brunel University of London.

Vanja's research encompasses Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, User Experience (UX) and Inclusive Design. He specialises in the elicitation and analysis of user needs and preferences, systems design, UX design and user evaluation in the development of novel products, services and experiences. His current work focuses on different applications of immersive technologies.

Vanja has been the Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on a range of research and innovation projects funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), Innovate UK, Research England, Arts Council England, European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Greater London Authority (GLA).
