Research group: Health Systems Design
Tingting is a postdoctoral researcher working with Professor John Clarkson in the Health Systems Design research group. Her work focuses on the further developing and implementing Improving Improvement Toolkit (https://www.iitoolkit.com/). The toolkit is designed to support designers, engineers, healthcare professionals, and system improvers in applying a systems approach to health and care improvement process.
Biography
Tingting completed her PhD at Delft University of Technology, where her research focused on understanding, evaluating, and designing digital patient experiences from a human-centred design perspective. Her doctoral work combined qualitative and quantitative research methods, including systematic reviews, interviews, research-through-design, and experimental studies. Her PhD thesis, Digital Patient Experience: Evaluation and Improvement from a Human-Centred Design Perspective, is available at: https://research.tudelft.nl/en/publications/digital-patient-experience-evaluation-and-improvement-from-a-huma/. Through this work, she developed Delft Design Guide: Digital Health, a practical resource that supports designers and healthcare innovators in improving patient experiences and enhancing the quality of care in digital health services.
