Biography

Junxiao (Shawn) Shen is a research student supervised by Professor Per Ola Kristensson at the Intelligent Interactive Systems Group. He received a BA in Engineering and Master in Engineering at the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge. He is also a member of Trinity College since 2016. He was awarded Jardine Scholarship and Trinity Mainland China Bursary for his four-year undergraduate studies.

Shawn completed his fourth-year project on mid-air gesture keyboard under the supervision with Professor Per Ola Kristensson. His primary focus in his PhD will be to develop machine learning-based models for inferring users’ intent for the interaction in optical see-through head-mounted displays.
