My research is currently focused on inclusive design, that is design that is usable by and suitable for a larger range of users, including those who are older or disabled. If you want to know more about this topic, my research group has developed an online toolkit giving a good introduction to and practical guidance for inclusive design. We have also produced a range of practical inclusive design tools, which are available from the toolkit.

I belong to the Inclusive Design group at the Engineering Design Centre (EDC).

You can also read about my PhD work on functional programming.

Publications

This page focuses on publications related to my current work in inclusive design You can also see all publications from my previous project, the Utopia project (links off-site), which is closely related to inclusive design. More publications, related to my PhD work, are available from my PhD page.

The publications are listed in reverse chronological order. Some of them link to a page containing more information about the paper, often including its abstract, a pointer to the paper (if available), its BibTeX citation, and possibly some other relevant information.
