Professor S D Green BSc, MSc, PhD, CEng, MICE, MCIOB
Stuart Green is Director of the EPSRC-funded Innovative Construction Research Centre (ICRC) at the University of Reading, where he also leads the construction management research group. Since 1995 he has been Principal Investigator on nine EPSRC projects totalling in excess of £3.5M, all of which have been carried out in close collaboration with industry. Stuart is well known internationally for his work on value management and group decision support in the context of complex construction projects. He has also published widely on topics such as lean construction, partnering and supply chain management, often causing controversy by challenging the accepted orthodoxy. Other notable recent work includes Learning across business sectors: knowledge sharing between aerospace and construction. In total, he has over 120 publications and is frequently invited to present to industry conferences. He is a member of the Executive Committee and Work Package Leader on the recently awarded ‘Grand Challenge’ - Immortal Information and Through-life Knowledge Management.
