Professor Roger Flanagan DSc, PhD, MSc, FICE, FCIOB, FRICS

Roger Flanagan is in the School of Construction Management and Engineering at the University of Reading. His research interests are whole life appraisal, risk management, competitiveness, organisational management and strategic management of companies. He has extensive publications with his most recent book “Whole life appraisal for construction”.
Roger is a member of the Board of Directors for Skanska AB ( Sweden), one of the top 5 largest contractors in the world, and for Halcrow Group, an engineering consultancy with a staff of over 6,000 operating in 70 countries. In April 2006 he will become the President of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). He is a member of the EPSRC-funded Innovative Construction Research Centre (ICRC) at Reading University.
