Manjula Patel holds a PhD in computer graphics and animation, an MSc in systems design and a BSc (Hons) in computational science and economics. She has published widely and worked on EU and JISC projects related to: digital libraries; metadata; interoperability; digital curation and preservation; the Semantic Web; agent technologies; metadata for cultural heritage and e-Learning; virtual reality and multimedia technologies. She is currently working in the Development Team of the UK's Digital Curation Centre; the European Union’s Network on Digital Libraries, DELOS2 and coordinating UKOLN’s work in the ‘Grand Challenge’ - Immortal Information and Through-life Knowledge Management Project.
