Dr Lian Ding

Dr. Lian Ding is a research officer at IMRC, University of Bath. She received her BEng (1993) and MSc (1997) in Mechanical Engineering in China. She became a lecturer at Southeast University after graduation, teaching and conducting research in Computer Integrated Manufacturing System (CIMS). She then undertook doctoral research in UK on feature technologies and its applications in CIMS, gaining a PhD in 2003. From 2003 to 2005, she worked as a research associate at Loughborough University. Her research interests include product modelling, integration of CAD/CAM, feature-based techniques, STEP, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), neural network, genetic algorithm and fuzzy logic.
