Dr Y M Goh B.Eng (Hons), Ph.D.

Dr Mey Goh is a Research Officer at the Innovative Manufacturing Research Centre (IMRC), University of Bath. She has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia. In 2005, she has been awarded a Ph.D. from University of Bristol, which was funded by the UK Overseas Research Students Award Scheme (ORSAS) and the University of Bristol Postgraduate Scholarships. Her research has focused on techniques for managing uncertainty in engineering knowledge used in design analysis and simulation to mitigate risks and error in a product development. She has also explored process modelling as a basis to decompose complex analysis processes to facilitate understanding of uncertainty in the data, mathematical and computational functions. She disseminates her research findings through industrial consultation, seminars and academic publications. Her research interests include uncertainty modelling and characterisation, probabilistic methods, fuzzy sets, process modelling, computational design analysis and decision support methods. She is now working on information capture and feedback of service experience to correct and update design knowledge for continuous improvement in the product-service lifecycle.
