Andrew Dainty is Professor of Construction Sociology in Loughborough University's Department of Civil and Building Engineering. His research interests focus on human social action within construction and other project-based sectors, and particularly the social rules and processes that affect people working in teams, organizations and supply chains. He has carried out research for a wide range of public and private sector organisations and advises many policy committees and industry think tanks. He currently holds research grants from EPSRC, ESRC, European Union and numerous commercial organisations. He published widely in both academic and industry journals, and is co-author of HRM in Construction Projects, and Communication in Construction: Theory and Practice, and is co-editor of People and Culture in Construction: A Reader, all published by Taylor and Francis.
