Extending active living through more effective inclusive design
The Survey
The project also aims to complete the research and preparation necessary for an experimental pilot study survey into inclusive design in 2 years time in 2009. The aim of this small pilot of around 400 people is to put in place and test the requirements, questions, material and theoretical background of a survey of national capability. The data from this will then quantify the levels of capabilities in a number of areas, including dexterity, reaching, locomotion and cognition, and within the social, working and physical product environments. This data will be deployed in conjunction with advanced scales of product demand to assess levels of inclusion.
